In 1957, Manuel Jalón began manufacturing floor cleaners in Zaragoza, in which the mop was squeezed out using rollers or a press system. In 1964, Manuel Jalón registered the patent for the invention of the mop, in which the mop was squeezed out in a funnel. It was a great success and within 20 years it spread throughout the country.
